hey guys. so i found an add of someone selling this very engine. asking 1300 obo. we talked and i tried to get as much information as possible but he knew very little about it too since he just bout it himself. with that said i tried to buy it for 1000 but he says the lowest he'll go is 1200, what he paid for it. the little bit of information i got on it is that the current seller bought it from a guy who parted out their miata because of an accident to the rear. the current seller decides to go a different route with his drag project and wants to sell this engine to fund his new project. it comes with the 1.6 and 5 spd tranny. all i know is its based off a Greddy Turbo Kit with a a CenterForce Dual Friction Clutch thats supposed to be making a bit over 200whp. so he was "told". im not familiar with the greddy turbo so is it fair to say its capable of handling over 200whp?

i just wanted some advice from the community before i jump on this cause the price isnt really that bad if its all there. i guess i would like anyones best guess by observing the pictures and if these photos can tell any stories. i see rc injectors that make me believe its probably pushing 200whp? not sure. i hear the stock greddy turbo manifold is crap so does the manifold look familiar to anyone and can anyone verify if its stock greddy? also i didnt get a clear answer to mileage =(

suggestions? warnings? anyone? lol THANKS in advance as always

Avoid it and do it yourself; not only will you learn more but you won't be risking buying a faulty engine.

Greddy turbo is about as cheap as it gets. Pay $1300 for the whole car. Bring cash. Miatas are dirty ****** but they are not **** stars that are worth anything near $1300. Especially one that molested.

No car. Apparently he was going to put it in some race chassis for a dragging project. Thanks for all the input
