Spookyfuck, creating envy in others is going to make your dick fall off.

Nice nice vids. Glad to see that there is the same douchbaggery going on over there with Porsche and BMW owners going much slower than their cars can handle. Pretty liberal passing rules, though. HPDE here in the northeast generally dictate that the overtaken car needs to point the passing car by. If it's going to injure the guy in front's ego to be overtaken by a miata, he will put up quite a fight.

The first turn in the Eau Rouge complex is harder than it looks on TV, huh? The hill's compression doesn't start helping until the second turn in the complex.

Yeah, that happens all over the place The slowest GT3's sometimes make it hard to pass, because of their ego. Not this day however, very friendly driving.

I think that is totally BS. Takes you out of your rhythm to do that. Just drive like a man and take care of eachother.

Uh yeah, the contrast in this vids is crap and the camera position makes everything look a bit dull. Eau Rouge is far from dull however. The compression only helps in the thrill factor You need to power on lightly after initial turnin (left) to keep the rear on the ground going over the right, left and then right curbs.

Apparently, the guy in the R8 was told that Eau Rouge is an 'easy flat out' in his R8... well it is with a Spec Miata (MaX5), but not with any 400rwhp car, on your first lap, with cold tires, and a novice driver. FAILBOAT.

Re: Red Paint
I was telling myself that, but I feel better hearing it. :-)

Buying stuff is.... ill-advised. I once knew a guy who spent $300 on his car. Imagine if we all did that?

It's been over a year since I posted here. The car hasn't seen much activity in 12 months. Two track days (one demo with sponsors, one test) and had some issues. Mainly crapping out around 6krpm and spitting the dip stick out meanwhile.

Couple of winter upgrades underway:
- Trackspeed Engineering COPs now installed and working (on the street)

- New AST suspension
- Wing (in our hands but needs bracket) and splitter
- Front DRLs (LED) so people will see me coming
- etc

Expect me to update this more often...

The LC1 is just fine as long as you wire it properly.

Update:

Had a new spark map installed two weeks ago at 13psi (0.9 bar). Much smoother now. Making 225rwhp (260 crank). Also tied the dip stick down and removed all OEM crank ventilation and modified them to atmosphere.

Had a blast at Spa, but still slight 6000rpm issues. Not on every session, but some.

Done:
- Leakdown: <3%
- Run NGK R5671A-7
- Remove CAT, replace with test pipe
- Replace fuel pump with Walbro 255lph HP

Plans:
- Enlarge valve cover vent (hot side) to catch can
- Upgrade brake master cylinder (Wilwood V8R version)
- Upgrade brake booster if needed
- Raise boost to ~1 bar (15-16psi)
- Replace CAS because rpm gauge sometimes jumps around
- Install new clutch and check seals for oil weeping
