Default Wing, lip or plain?

I had a trunk lip spoiler, that I ended up selling before ever putting it on the car. I realize it's purely aesthetic, and is not going to significantly affect handling. I kinda like the look of the factory wing, but is it too much? Too rice?

Opinions?

It is aesthetic. So, if you like the look . . . .

To me, the Miata is all about simplicity and purity of function. So, mine is unencumbered (with the exception of factory mud flaps, which I actually need due to my gravel driveway).

It will just make your car look gayer. Not to mention drag in the wind and make it slightly slower. I might say go for it if you had made it yourself out of $9.00 worth of fiberglass resin from Autozone, but since you didnt it would probably clash with your homemade-car theme you have going on...

The NAs lines are kinda plain without some kind of rear addition and some kind of front lip. I could never own a NA without them. Personally, the thing that I hate most about the NA is how the front bumper rolls in to the middle and leaves the leading face of the tire exposed (when viewed fro mthe front). Not to mention how terrible that is for drag.

Put the spoiler on.

+1 for the spoiler. My car would just look stupid without it, and I think thats the case for most NA's...

No way! Just showing photo examples. I've seen some guys running the same-ish body kit with no spoiler and it just looks... silly.

Edit: Actually, YES I would sell it for the right price

Can't seem to find one that isn't A)too expensive or B) just plain silly looking. I like the RB type 1, but I'm damned if I'll spend 250 for it.

Ahhh yes, I know exactly how you feel! Spoilers are usually a no-no for me but I just had to do it. It puts me awful close to being "ricey" though

Put the wing on. I went for a factory fiberglass replica without the center post (they made it for a short time but then realized the rubber spoiler needed a center support).

$120

Just noticed they're now say it comes with the center support. That's ***** if it does.

Dustin, I had an OEM one and they're ABS/FRP and the center post is removable I've always like the optional OE "boomerang" spoiler

For $160 and a stock lid, I could care less about the functionality.
