Default RX-7 MAF Problems

Ok, so i got my RX-7 MAF on (which was a bitch to fit under the hood just for the record) and im having a few problems...

The idle is definetely nowhere near as smooth as it was before, i'm idleing higher (around 950 or so), and now i've only got 15in. of vaccum at idle versus the 20 i used to....any ideas? i've tried adjusting the idle with the screw on the TB with little luck.
