well, something died today... my diff decided to blow apart. haha. 1.8 diff time. i noticed after i shot that video there was this wierd kind of tapping sound that got worse as i increased my speed. it would come and go, then today, boom, diff metal salad.

Vid looks good to me. Sucks on the diff turning itself to salad, but at least you'll be able to launch it. Also, it did have 172K on it, so not bad eh.
Oh, do a before and after with the new diff. Sweet.

yeah, i'm not really complaining. i know if the car was making stock power that thing would probably never break. it went out in good fashion... getting sideways in 2nd. hopefully i can get my 1.8 carrier, rx7 lsd, frankendiff done tomorrow. since the miata is my only car. i'll try to snap some pics if i get a chance to. and i'll get some pics of my diff metal salad with gear oil dressing. we'll see what happens, at least my clutch and transmission are holding.

well my prototype mr mazda frankendiff is ready for testing. we shall see how it works. i just picked up all of my shafts and such today. now the only 2 things that are left in my drivetrain that are stock are the pressure plate, and the flywheel.
