Default toluene

Where can one find toluene? I'd like to get a gallon or two in my tank before going to the dyno on Saturday, since I won't be totally tuned yet.

Never bought it, but have been told Sherwin Williams has it. Perhaps Lowes and Home Depot.

Not home depot. They do have Xylene, though, and I bought a gallon of it in case.

Most people get it from paint shops.

Some states don't allow consumers to buy toulene. It's apparently an ingredient for making crystal meth.

Xylene is almost always readily available, though, and just as effective.

But forget about both of those and get yourself some Torco Race Fuel Concentrate.

I bought mine from a local home paint supply store, can't remember the name.

I tried Sherwin Williams, but they were out at the time.

Of course they open after I leave for work, and close before I can get back.

There is no local Torco distributor. You can't ship the stuff can you?

I think Torco has an ingredient (MTBE) that can damage O2 sensors and cats.

I've been using it in both my track cars for years with no problems.

hell, just go up to Oakwood with a 5gal gas can and get some 100 from the Kangaroo and put it in just before you go to DIY.

Or..if you can figure out how, you can go use the pumps at Road Atlanta and get some 112 lol. Yes, i've done this. When i worked at BBS, i stopped by RA on my lunch break, told the gentleman at the security gate that i just wanted to get some race gas and he politely let me in. Swipped my card and got some gas

I think my local Sunoco has 100 or 110, can't remember which. Its expensive of course but readily available.

The only fuel we get here above 93 is leaded. It's for the drag car crew.

There's a station about an hour from me with pumps that have 98, 103, 108, and 114. I have no idea why there's a demand in the middle of nowhere here.
