Does the extra power from a turbo matter on the shocks you get, I was planning on buying a set of bilsteins or konis, I can't decide yet, will these be fine for ~170rwhp? I figured I might as well ask b/c I plan on ordering shocks/springs within the next month or so. For springs I'd prolly go with some FM ones. I already have a front sway and RB endlinks.

Not an expert here, but I don't see any particular brand of shock/spring being better or worse just because you've got more power. Obviously a drag car has different suspension requirements than an autocross car, which is where I think this idea kinda stems from. In any case, I've never seen a miata spring/shock that was advertised as being "Best for turbo'd cars".
Just out of curiosity, why are you set on Koni's or Bilstiens. I haven't done any real homework but my KYB's are awesome. They adjust by hand with a click of the dial.... not sure if the Konis adjust as easily. I think the general feeling is that the Koni's are maybe a little better, but are $100 more per set and those guys drive way better than I do. The Koni's do have the advantage of being able to lower the car by an inch w/ stock springs.
I couldn't really find anything on aftermarket Bilstiens. Only one vendor at the m.net marketplace carries Bilstiens and they don't even appear adjustable. I'd do more homework before you count out the KYB's... they really are the bomb. Personally, I'd forget the Bilstiens.

I think shocks need to match your driving purpose/needs more than your power. In general, there is a tradeoff between comfort/streetability and max performance for racing applications unless you pay the big bucks.

People rave about konis for the balance of comfort and performance even with the OEM springs. Regardless, any replacement will improve performance over an old set of OEM shocks/springs so it's hard to go wrong with replacing them.
