Default 1.8 injectors on a soon to be GReddy?

How will a stock N/A behave with 1.8 injectors, and no other mods? I'm deturboing my car, and I am trading my friend fr his 1.6 injectors, as I don't have 1.6s anymore. He'll eventually be buying my GReddy setup, and so this would be in prep for that.

Should idle fine, run fine in closed loop, but may be a little rich in open loop operation.

+1

You could always do the ECU Overclock/Crystal Mod. That will help it run a little less rich.

it consists of replacing a crystall in the ECU board to over or underclock the processor speed. Look for it on m.net there is a real big thread on it.

Cro-Magna is right. It's a pretty neat little mod that makes the ECU speed up its time faster than real time. Think of it as forcing a stop watch to run slightly faster than real time. It will have no affect on closed loop fueling, but will ever so slightly reduce injector duty cycle in open loop, where the miata is rich anyway. Side benefit is it will raise your rev limit too.
