I've put that in the sponsor section at the drag strip when they had info cards.

Was amusing to hear it announced.

That boundry layer will consequently stay attached further around the trailing edge leaving a smaller wake and thus less drag.
very cool stuff.
I'm a driver at a Ford dealership and towards the end of the day I tend to wander around and look at stuff I don't quite understand. Anyways we had a Ford GT in the shop recently and I noticed that parts of the undertray were dimpled. Sorry for the poor quality cause I shot it on my phone (photo looking front to back) but towards the back you can kinda see about half of it is dimpled.

Well, i have an event this weekend... and last minute decided to finally start my splitter.

Not that I don't have enough random things to finish before the 2day event as is... sigh.

Here is the progress so far.

Things left to do:
Rear reinforcement plate
"wheel cover" pieces on sides of bumper/lip/splitter. Covering the wide front tires widebody style.
Strut supports for sides of splitter

For event:
Oil change
build laptop mount
build gps mount
build mini LCD mount for laptimer/gps

Oh and total cost so far... less than 10 bucks in couplers/threaded rod and steel strips.

Funny how this thread got bumped just now. Go look in Got Cone's album of Solo Nats this year. There is a certain black SSM miata with their trunk open during a run and its touching the wing.

Speaking of this thread also. Splitter (and wing) is hopefully going to be finished by the last race of the year. Going to use the air damn as the spats so that I can make aerofoil profiles for my canards (which can be 15% of my 8sqft total wing area).
