Default A question of timing?

I have a 1.8 engine in my miata however the car was originally a 1.6 so the crank pulley was swapped over due to differing belts on the alternater and PAS pump.

My question is when setting the base timing do I line the notch on the pulley with the 0 or the 10 btdc? I believe teh 1.8's had 2 notches on their pulley. Does this make any difference at all?

Thanks

you more than likely still line up the notch with TDC. toss your dipstick ontop of piston #1 and verify when the piston is in fact at TDC.
