I like that look a lot. You have traction troubles with power on those narrow stock sizes?

So eager to paint them you didn't even remove them from the boxes. Hahaha.

Nice paintjob. Good to see my old wheels went to a good home.

Rican, looks really good!

Scott (braineack): When you go to the track what tires are you using? I cant tell in that picture if those are RA-1, Azeni's or slicks? I got the Azeni's and they dont grip enough for me at the Autocross right now, im sliding all over the place.

Azenis RT-215s 195/60/14, I have no traction problems. Going with hankook RS2s or Azenis RT-615s in 205/50/15 this season.

I have no suspension pretty much dialed in to how i like it, 7/8" front bar, stock rear bar, FM springs, Konis on 1 3/4 turn front and 1 1/2 turn back.

-1.5* F - 2.0* R

My turbo also spools a tad late, so I dont have power spikes untill I'm exiting corners :gay:

make sure you tell the tire shop you painted the rims and would like to keep it clean before you get tires mounted. otherwise they will shred that ****.

happened to me.

ok, i still need to dial in the suspension more myself. The Tein basics made my car tend to oversteer which was a blast to drive but it slowed me down. For next week ill try a stiffer swaybarsetting and I would like to get a realignment that is less agressive in the front like 0toe and 1*camber and leave the rear at 2* with toe in. I bet the azenis will work better then.

I painted wheels for local car guys for a while. Usually I would hit their brake calipers while I was at it too.

Best ones: Refinished my stock BBS wheels in black with a polished lip, red calipers.

2002 Camaro Z28 (red). Wheels painted all black, red calipers (looked AWESOME and mean!)

Previous gen Mustang convertible, yellow and white. Painted wheels white and calipers metallic yellow. Looked great!

1986 (I think) BMW E-30. Friends wheels were getting ragged so I blasted them with silver and clearcoat. Everybody he showed them to was asking when he got new wheels, he responded by telling them he sent them back to BMW for refinishing. Funny thing was that they believed him....

All of them I used Duplicolor with clear except the Stang, used Rustoleum on those. Worked well somehow...
