Default want to use 6speed first gear. where do i start

want to use 6speed first gear in my 5 speed. I know I need the first gear but do i need the counter gear as well? thanks mate

Out of curiosity, why would you want to do that? I find that first gear in a six speed is only good for pulling stumps.

It's not possible. The gearboxes are made by different companies, the gear widths are probably different, the shaft diameters are probably different, I could go on.

If you want a stump puller, get a 6spd trans and a 4.8 R&P....or even just the 4.8 with the 5spd.

Just need an adapter plate for an SM420 with an atlas transfer case. 6:1 first gear and 4:1 low range!
