Default 6UL wheel delay.

I'm sure some of you have heard the wheels are delayed until the end of April and it may be later than that. I have the 15x9 on order right now. I'm driving on stock wheels with snow tires at the moment and I don't really want to be driving on them until May. I'm not sure what to do, as #1 snow tires aren't fun, #2 they'll wear much faster as it gets warmer, #3 I hope to be turbod by May. I'm in the NYC area so it's not blistering hot in March and April but snow tires aren't necessary anymore. Should I wait it out or get different wheels? The new sportmax xxr 513 don't look terrible, but I'd feel like I was downgrading, and I'm not sure how much rubber I could fit on them and still get them under the fenders. What to do?

It will be well worth the wait. The same thing happened last year, they were supposed to be shipped in late January but I didn't receive mine until early march I think.

You might regret switching to the sportmax wheels...

I almost got the 6UL... then I realized a set of 15x8 and 15x9 were almost 1k w/o tires and spacers... I'm getting a set of 15x8 +15 sportmax 501s with tires for 711 shipped mounted balanced inflated....check out buywheelstoday.com

I'm going to wait, they're awesome wheels, and VERY reasonably priced. The only way I'd jump ship is if I only had snow tires, or a track day scheduled and no wheels to put my stickies on.

Compared to TE37s and SSRs they're pretty darn cheap.

I don't think it's fair to compare the sportmax's to the 6ul.

The sportmax is just not in the same league...unless you're drifting and you need the mad tyte offsets of the sportmax and you have 300hp to spin heavy wheels. In that case go for the sportmax...

I like the look of those Axis wheels on the buywheelstoday web site. But those 6ULs are just dead sexy. Can't afford them though...

I think they look really good, I almost thought about buying them.

I work for a wheel/tire company, so I get huge discounts on parts we sell. I can get 4 of the the 15x7 RPF1 for $450. I want to, but they don't come in black..

I actually think the new sprortmax looks pretty good, but then again I don't want to be stretching 195s on them. I want 225/45/15 which I'm pretty sure is a no go with them. I guess I'll have to wait. I just ******* hate using snow tires.

Man up. I drove on CORDED 185/60 all-seasons (Dunlop SP8000s) waiting for my 6ULs. Emilio had like $1100 of my money for 10-11 weeks, and at that timie it wasn't even a proven wheel, just a drawing in AutoCAD.

Worth every single penny, and every single day I had to wait for them. If you are seriously considering cancelling your 6UL order and ordering Sportmaxes, perhaps you need psychiatric help Seriously, though, you're going to be pissed off this summer when everyone is flashing photos of new 6ULs and 225s and you downgraded to a 7" wide wheel.
