Default Shocks/Springs

Hey, what do KYB AGX compare to other brands. I want to use KYB AGX and Illumias or KONI. IS this a good combination or is there better out there.

Also, if the KYB is suitable, which is better 8,4 or non adjustable.

will the kit you sent me be a good upgrade, i feel alot of lean in turns. Will this, along with some bracing lower that lean? Also, are the 8 way a good choice?

That is an awesome deal. I just paid nearly $400 for a set of NA Bilsteins, and immediately had them reworked by FCM. Wonderful shocks.

Bit of a drive from Odenton, Maryland to San Mateo, CA however. The guy says Local Pickup only. Offer him $150 for just the shocks if he'll ship. Still a bargain, and you don't want those springs anyway.

Actually, as close as he is to San Jose, I'd be surprised if Shaikh hasn't already bought them.

If you are going to buy KYB AGXs do not buy from eBay buy it from a reputable dealer.

Tom,

I'll have a set of Bilstein Hard-S shocks/springs with about 30k miles off of my car in a couple weeks.

I think they might raise your car a bit though. You can have 'em for $120. You can get adjustable collars from Fatcat. Match them with some cheap Tein springs for a good adjustable height setup. When you want to upgrade, just send them to Fatcat for revalves and buy some 2.5 collars then pick whatever spring rate you want.

I had AGX on my '90. They were OK, and an upgrade from my old Tokico HPs, but I don't think they last that long with lowering springs.

okay frank, that sounds great. Do they need revalves, and also, after i get the collars from fat cat will the ride height be able to be a little lower than stock?

Bilsteins at 30K miles are practically new. You want need revalves until you want to go with stiff springs/coilovers. Call Shaikh and let him know your plans and what I've got to offer (he'll recognize my name). He'll give you the best spring options for your budget and goals. If it doesn't involve my shocks, no biggie. You'll probably need NB tophats, Fatcat collars, and bumpstops.
