who's to blame
So I've been busy saving up, gathering info and all the parts that I need to get my miata up to par... paint, suspension, turbo, tuning time. Practically all is here for the big install on my two week vacation beginning tomorrow. And of course its a minimal item that sets me off. I order the padding and vinyl cover from GoMiata for my hdhcdd... I was away on business until today, yesterday my brother calls and says they delivered a similar box to what my hdhcdd came in. Now I'm honest, I dont need another hdhcdd nor have a place to keep it. So I call GoMiata and ask 'what exactly did I order?' They say hdhcdd vinyl cover and padding, then they check the shipping weight of 53lbs or so. So I get home and verify that it is another roll bar and work it out with GoMiata that UPS will pick it up tomorrow. Then 1 hour later they call and state that I will have to be charged 40 dollars to keep the leather cover unless I return it. Honestly you could wrap a garbage bag around the padding for all I care, but this whole ordeal with gathering all the parts and paying shipping out the a$$ to get it all here for next week has got me stressed ..and why should I take an additional 40$ hit for someone else's huge error. According to GoMiata it's an error on Bethania's part. And if I refuse to pay they will call the authorities..! So I ask them why I should have to pay for their or Bethania's error? It's certainly not mine. And I have been dead honest. She stated that I could call Bethania and talk to the ***** that told her off who said that they will charge GoMiata for it who will in turn charge me. So F them its all back in the big box which has now been sitting in the rain for hours, waiting to be picked up tomorrow to shipped back to bethania. They have both lost a customer

No, they are going to send UPS to pickup the rollbar but will charge him for the covers if he keeps em?
The only recommendation I can make is not worrying about them sending "authorities" after you. If they charge your card without authorization charge back the roll bar and any additional charges and **** em.

Jesus christ sam......stop ******* posting just to post. WTF....dont you have a life.
Yea man, that's bullshit. I would have told her **** you and kept the padding my god damn self to tell you the truth. Now-a-days too many companies are falling through the crack of **** service. The easiest way out is to blame someone else, so of course she did.
As far as miata related parts go.....to date my worst experience by far has been with R-speed. I have yet to buy from them since the **** up.

Hoov, I've read your post 4 times and still don't know what the **** they're trying to charge you for.
Here's what I can think I understand.
1: You bought a rollbar and the vinyl cover/padding for it.
2: They ship you a rollbar w/no padding.
3: They ship you another rollbar and send you a leather cover instead.
4: They want the second rollbar back and they want you to pay the difference in price for the leather vs. vinyl? Do I have it straight?
I still don't know what Bethania's roll was in this, but if GM is really going to stick you for the $40, ****'em. If they had accidentally sent you a 3.6Torsen instead of a 4.30Open, then I could see them wanting you to cover the difference or send it back. But $40 shouldn't be worth their time or effort to fight about... and it certainly shouldn't be worth yours. Send both items back, cancel your order, and force them to eat the shipping both ways. That's your only real weapon as a customer. And be sure somebody high on the GM corprate ladder gets an email with a link to this thread on it.
It's too bad m.net won't tolerate threads like this.
FWIW, I purchased a mild-steel div-gas DP from BEGi... they accidentally sent me BEGi"S" style DP. I called Steph and she said they didn't have any mild-steel in stock at the moment, sorry for the delay, would it be all right if she sent a SS instead at no extra charge. They shipped it that afternoon even though I wouldn't be able to get the wrong one in the mail back to them until the next day. That's how you earn customers for life.
