Oil Filters.
I want to do an oil change tomorrow but I wont make it to the Mazda dealer. Why the Mazda dealer you ask? Thats simple, ever since I got my car I have been exclusively using mazda oil filters for my changes. I heard they are the best. So, since I wont make it to the dealer I need to get an alternative so I can do my change.
What filters do you guys use?

Mobil1 M1-104. It's the spec filter for all of Honda's B-series engines. Same basic design as the Miata filter (thread, drainback valve, etc) but a slightly larger canister.

Thanks for the tip. Went to autozone, they didnt have the M1-108 so I got the M1-104. I did however compare it to the fram they had and the only difference was the size of the carnister and number of holes for the flow. Fram had 9 small holes, Mobil has 5 large ones.

Also...i hope you're joking about the once a year thing, even if you only track your car or drive it very sparingly, you still need to change it much more often than that!

The differences are going to be MUCH greater on the internal construction, go back and buy another mobil-1 filter and the fram filter, but them both in half and tell me which one you think is superior....

I also change my oil once a year(almost once a year) because i drive a total of 4k miles a year and never go to the track.

No i want you to cut them open so that you see the differences betwen the two that aren't visible from the outside...so that you see why fram sucks so much ***....or you can do a google search and come up with about 10,000 pictures of the same thing...that way is a little cheaper i suppose.

No need, I have heard about Fram oil filters and air filters from other sources, you are not the first.

I use Brand X because I've always used brand x. they are the best. in my opinion. and I have a very strong opinion which means you should listen to it.
(mazda oem for the mpv--they're a little longer than stock)

$5.88 for 2 pure-ones after a $4 rebate. Buy 6 and get free shipping. But you can only submit 2 rebates per household.

Wix here too, seems to be the best made filter I've seen. I am seriously considering cutting a bunch of different brands open just for laughs, but then again, even if the filter is made very well, I have no idea about the actual filter media.
EDIT: you guys are all using the larger Millenia filter, right?
