Default why can't I find head-studs for the exhaust side?

Mazda dealers have them for $11 each and I can't seem to find them on Finish Line's site. Any thoughts?

Do you mean studs for the manifold?

I bought the miata-roadster set with the copper locknuts. Maybe you can call them and just get the studs.

According to the (admittedly dubious) MiataRoadster site, the studs are 45mm in length, and there are nine of them. Can't help you on thread pitch.

But, you can get a full set of super-duper-special studs / nuts / washers for $55 here: MiataRoadster: Head parts Good for 20 HP and +4 bling.

Does that set actually do anything better than factory studs and nuts? I've had my exhaust side nuts loosen up.

MR zinc and copper kit is da bomb! Bling factor is too much for most to handle. I got them because my factory ones kept seizing and the studs would back out of the head. I haven't had a single issue with the MiataRoadster ones yet.

My comment to the effect that the studs are made from super-dupium was meant to be read in [sarcasm] [/sarcasm] brackets.

There is some logic in the use of copper nuts from an anti-seize perspective. On the other hand, I use copper-bearing or nickel-bearing hi-temp anti seize compound, and my exhaust nuts neither stick in place nor fall off.

That said, several of the studs in Jessica's head are buggered, and I'll probably just order the full kit from MR to save myself the hassle of tracking them down elsewhere.

It takes two seconds when you double nut them... I know you're good at that!
