So last night I finally got around to replacing my door hinges. Well, on the drivers side, I managed to knock the pressed in bolt/stud/stupidest designed thing in the universe inside the unibody . Does anyone have a good idea about how to get it out that doesn't involve a rotozip and a welder?

Hey, I got something! A car! I tried this trick in the area around the rear shock mount, on the inside of the trunk where there is that little lip all the way around a larger opening. I succeeded in losing a nut AND 2 36lb pull force neodynium magnets. They will forever be stuck to the car where my fingers can't reach to pull them off.

Lol, thanks Joe. I realize this. Still think it would work with some small magnets that were not too powerfull. It depends on how deep these holes are though and also how big the area is at the bottom. What about if you soldered them onto the end of a coat hanger?

Chew a big wad of gum; wrap it into a loop on a wire coat hanger and go fishing.

Small shop vac maybe. I'm not sure exactly where you lost it or how big the hole is but you could make a pvc and duct tape fitting and suck it out.

I lost one of those when I put the doors back on after repainting the car. I just left it. I can't say that it caused a new rattle, since I can't really hear anything except the exhaust.

Oh, I just figured out the solution.

Take a pile of dirt and a shovel. Start shoveling that dirt into the hole. As the dirt goes in, the dog will shake the dirt off its back and move around. Slowly the floor of the hole will move up and eventually the dog can just step out of the hole.
