Default Installed my new Hard Dog!!

First off, Thanks mikef85 for the good deal, and working with me on finding a good shipping method. Had it sent Greyhound PackageXpress (which is ANYTHING BUT express...) however didn't take very long to get here from south Houston.

Right after I got back home from my business trip I started ripping the interior out. Maybe spent an hour taking the plastic side panels out, drivers seat, package cover and carpet. Waited for a friend to come assist, we aligned it, spent an hour fighting with the seat belt gizmo bolts, I took a hammer to the body where the bar sits and that fixed the seatbelt gizmo problem. Cut the tray a bit, drilled our holes, bolted it down. Friend had to go (hes installed 4 bars now w/massive plastic trimming and he agreed to guide me with my interior pieces..) out of town for the week and will be back sometime so we can finish it.

Thing looks hella sexy. The Hard Dog M2 Sport w/double diags.. Finished it Friday evening and already have like 50 compliments on the bar and car all together.

Now I just need to finish turbo install, get some suspension.. Lose the 4x4 stock springs... And my tires are almost spent, gonna see how bad some 215s will rub.

If you're planning on running a larger tire on the 17's, don't bother with the 215-40's.... get the 225-35/17 as that size has a smaller sidewall and will be less likely to rub.

It took me 4 hrs to install my HDHCDDM2 in my 99. The only time i needed help was to hold the tops of the bolts when i tightened them down. Oh and the PO had Dynomat'ed the whole package shelf under the carpet.... and didn't bother to leave access for the fuel cover, so i had to spend about 1 hr in the car with a heat gun and scraper...with the top up i nthe summer..... **** that.

Looks like the Deuce bar sits in a different position then the Sport. With the sport its really difficult (if not impossible) to just put in the plastic trim without cutting it. Everytime that I've seen Paul do roll bars, he starts by cutting the plastic pretty much in half (down the one middle seam) and then trims more from there.

Hard Dog rollbars are awesome. I need to buy another one soon (will be the 5th one between me and my friends).
