man, I love your car. I have seen it in your avatar but just took the time to look at your cardomain page. the silver with red gives it that s2000 look, and the motor swap pics and writeup are very well done. I personally don't care much for black cars, so glad someone put the red in a better looking Miata.

+1 his car is bad *** & the 2.2 will be incredible. I want to do the red interior in my silver car too. I was actually disappointed when I saw his because someone beat me to it. Being we're both in Atlanta, I might go for the black & blue from the AE instead.

I never liked the red interior on the LE. But I'll admit it looks better in the silver car than the black. I've got a Canadian SE that is identical to the LE with the exception of the interor color, rear spoiler and suspension. Mines tan but I'd do a complete swap to black including the top if I could.

I have no point.

Personally, I think the red interior looks great, in black or silver

thanks guys :gay: It has been a lot of work, but the big hurdles are gone. Engine swaps are more or less like any Miata engine swap since the car's set up for the FE. I plan on adding a TurboII trans with the 2.2 upgrade. I found out that the Mazda (and Ford) full size vans in Japan/Aus&NZ came with the F engines in them and used the R trans, so all I need is the "bellhousing" for a bolt on solution with TII trans. Then I just need to fab up an adapter to bolt up the PPF. The 2.2 will use forged Venolia pistons with the stock rods, which should be good for 600+hp.

The Atlanta crew should plan some kind of "hook up" - I hope to have my clutch in over the holiday. Maybe we all can make the road trip the "Mid Atlantic Miataturbo.net Meet" next year?

it's like guests coming for the holidays- presto the house is clean
Or in my case a baby coming in April- presto the basement is the new office and the old office is the new nursery.

Wow well congrats man!

I wish I had a basement so I could build a better theater (I'm using the bonus room over the garage now).

my basement is going from storeroom to office

my garage is a storeroom for the Miata, parts and tools- (fortunately I "claimed" it about fifteen years ago)

IMO - black cars really aren't likeable until they have at least 350rwhp then you have no choice

thanks

When I go out to Atlanta (FEMA R4 office) I'd love to check out your car.

I owned a black car once...if you can't afford to pay someone to keep in clean and wax it for you then its not worth the time. However, nothing ever looks better than black.

Robs car is way cool....and he's a nice guy and a damn good driver on the track as well.
Black cars are a PITA...I have one. But I also have a Silverstone....one of my all time fave colors. I should be spooling around in it soon!
