Default Exclusive Helmholtz Exhaust Solutions for ALL Years of Miata!

Many years in the making and Good-Win Racing is now the only vendor making Helmholtlz exhaust solutions for ALL years of Miata!

Most exhausts are stuffed cans with resulting frequency balance far from ideal as the more musical notes are indiscriminately absorbed and a tiring monotone DRONE....is the final note. Exotic cars increasingly tailor the exhaust note with Helmholtz chambers that knock down specific frequencies to craft a pleasing note you want to hear while killing the drone frequencies you don't want in the result.

How is it done? Each generation of Miata is tested with a computer and sound spectrum analyzer and microphones and driven under varying conditions and loads with mufflers and without any muffler to measure the frequencies produced. We then use that data and special software to calculate the particulars of the Helmholtz chambers needed to precisely knock down the frequencies we do not want to hear while allowing the good throaty burble fun sounds to pass through. The result is all the fun, an exotic burble throaty result, without the drone that wears out the driver on longer drives. Result has a great dual personality because the effect of the Helmholtz is very frequency specific, under decel it is mild and quiet when ordinary stuffed mufflers can drone, yet when you push hard toward redline the helmholtz system rewards with exotic sounding fun. FUN when you want it, yet mild when just cruising.

SuperQ Header Version
, which adds additional resonator you can just barely see in this pic after the inlet flange because removing header from this car is essentially removing a very effective resonator from the system (the cat itself)

For the NA, is the difference between the 3 and 4 just in the mid pipe, or is the muffler different too?
I just put the Roadstersport 3 on my NA, and I'm hoping I can just swap out the mid-pipe (although I don't see it by itself on your website).

The helmholtz chamber, which is responsible for the drone cancelling benefits, is inside the rear case. We also added a resonator section in the midpipe to balance the volume of 'glass we gave up in the rear to make room for the helmholtz. So, both portions of the system for the RS4 differ from the RS3.

Darn, I'll just order the baffle for long road trips. Thanks for the explanation.

RoadsterSport MazdaSpeed Miata Connecting Pipe!

NEW ITEM TODAY!

Fits 2004 and 2005 Mazdaspeed Miata ONLY.

Tired of having almost zero exhaust options for the Mazdaspeed Miata? The factory turbo MSM came with a slightly different exhaust configuration with different flange locations than other non-turbo Miatas and the result was that exhausts for non-turbo Miatas won't bolt up to an MSM, so MSM owners are stuck with only exhaust specifically designed for the MSM... and because there were only 5,428 MSMs ever made, there is very little in the way of exhaust options designed specifically for it... until now.

This connecting pipe replaces the lower half of the MSM's downpipe. It bolts up to the MSM downpipe and then places the output flange exactly where it is on every non-turbo 1999 to 2005 Miata so with the switch to this connecting pipe now you can bolt up to your MSM any midpipe and muffler designed for a normal 99-05 Miata, like our highflow 2.5 inch RoadsterSport NB Midpipes and RoadsterSport 4 Helmholtz Polished Stainless Steel Miata Exhaust Muffler. Finally, plug and play options!

Made from 2.5" stainless tubing. Lifetime warranty.

Exhaust hanger locations on the MSM are the same as other NBs, so any of our RoadsterSport NB midpipes and RoadsterSport mufflers will hang on an MSM.
