Hi Guys

Got a new 15x8 choice coming to market....with 25mm offset and substantial lip that can be polished, or not polished. The polished version would cost a little more. Likely do both but looking to get a count of preference...polished or not for the lip?

I have design but should have real pics I can post in about 30 days.

Split spoke design looks very much like Enkei RP-F1...but with about a 2.5 inch deep dish lip.

Price will be very reasonable....around $150. Weight should be good at about 13 pounds.

Sounds good so far, will you test wheels on track or street before selling?
At $600 a set I'd expect pretty good quality, and from dealing with you before I know you wouldn't sell anything shy of worthy.

Thanks Folks. The vote, here and elsewhere, has come down in favor of no polished lip. So, first batch will be all silver (standard powder coated finish with clear coat over....like an RP-F1 or similar). That will help get the cost lower.

I don't see it as a direct competitor.....different market. I see the 6ul continuing as our top choice for our track and autocross customers....and I expect the new wheel we are talking about in this thread to be available only in the 15x8 size, at a lower price point but with the heavier weight of 13+ pounds (versus UNDER 13 for the 6ul in both 15x8 and 15x9). For the small difference in price I can't see any of my track and autocross customers deciding to go with a heavier choice. Thus, we will continue to sell and recommend the lighter 6ul choices to my track and autocross customers and I expect the new wheel will appeal more to our street customers looking for this width AND deep dish appearance, wider track, lower cost, etc.

I think it's a good move, and I'll be anxiously awaiting.

Been looking, and trying to make a call on wheels over the past few months. What I really want has always been out of my reach, and the lesser choices are just that...either not wide enough for the 225 section rubber, or too heavy/wrong offset.

Same here gospeed. I've wavered on dropping the coin on 6ULs as I'd prefer a little more offset and it's not a track car. Then Tirerack came out with some wheels but the 15x8 can only be had in 20mm offset which usually require some rolling.

At 25mm it's not far off from the 20mm but it's nice to have a another option and I'm glad the first batch will be unpolished. I've had bad experience with polished lips on previous wheels. The more choices the merrier.
