Default Hydra 2.7 and COP

Just finished installing Toyota COP's (90919-02239) on my '93 FMII with Hydra 2.7 in sequential mode. For the wiring, I followed the directions for the FM Big Spark Kit. The dwell curve I used (Under Tuning Maps/Dwell Base) is as follows:

Volts MS
10.0 3.04
10.3 2.96
10.7 2.84
11.0 2.76
11.3 2.72
11.7 2.60
12.0 2.52
12.3 2.48
12.7 2.40
13.0 2.32
13.3 2.28
13.7 2.24
14.0 2.20
14.3 2.12
14.7 2.08
15.0 2.04

Zeroed out all values under Engine Trimming/Dwell Engine Speed Trim

Unchecked "Waste Spark" under Settings/Base Ignition Settings.

The car starts and idles smoothly.

Will get the car on the street in a few days as it is sitting on stands getting ready for a track event at Pocono next Monday and Tuesday.

Had the car at Pocono raceway today and it has been acting a little funny. It has become hart to start at times and has stalled out a few times including once on the track moving at 50 mph! Popped in the clutch, shut it down and restart without stopping. I am going to try making some adjustments in the dwell times.

Could be a loose wire or ground perhaps. I've been running sequential w/ COPS for a while. What version of the firmware are you running?

I actually had a problem pretty similar to this earlier this year. I ended up tracking it down to some loose spark plug wires (they also were very cheap-o wires) but anyways I ended up running some NGK Blue wires and now it runs better than the day I got it. Not saying this is your problem but it sounds very similar to what happened to me when I was driving to work. Took me about 2 weeks to figure out it was just some stupid loose wires lol

I am running firmware version 2.7r64.

The stalling out issue became chronic on the way home as the outside temp went above 95. Temp gauge was showing normal. Will look into the wiring tomorrow.

I know there was an issue with earlier versions with the COPS cutting out that Jeremy went over in an email. You're on a version that probably still has the issue. Try updating to the latest firmware (linked here). Make sure you backup your current map if you want to revert - it changes things and the map is not backwards compatible; in case you didn't know. You need to upgrade to the latest software version too.
