Default Hydra 2.6, DW1000 High Impedance

So I picked up a set of DW1000's as my 550's were maxed out around 15psi with my current setup. I've gotten a map from FM that was based on their ID1000 E85 fuel map from Jeremy and from what I see, my map looks to be OK. I ran autotune on the car, however I had to adjust LAMDA values for the idle and warmup cells since the car barely idles if I try to go to 14.7 (I must idle at 13.4 or lower to be stable).

While driving on the freeway, I put the car in 3rd and cruised at roughly 5800rpm since the autotune works best when I operate in the area that needs tuning. The autotune apparently didn't like that, and put a massive canyon in my map from 640mmHg all the way up to 17psi between 5 and 6.5k. I spent the better part of an hour flattening that out..

A few issues I'm having, however;
  • Loss of power at the low end (I'm trying to pinpoint it, but I was driving without a co-driver) -- This appears to bleed in with trying to rev from low RPMs, easier to do when the engine is above 3500 or so, below that the car seems to stumble a bit then catch itself and go.
  • Some issues with severe spikes in AFR during boost, as seen in the included CSV, I managed to pull off 9.7:1 at 6700rpm @ 15.3psi

Now, I'll be honest and say I have no idea what the hell I'm doing here. The fuel map is fairly straight forward, however that doesn't stop me from having the issues I am having such as my lowend power loss. I DO NOT want to blow another 400 on a dynotune session to run out of time before I get to the good part because I spent all the time fixing ****, I want this car running for once before I go to the dyno.

So, if anyone can take a look at my map and/or CSV and let me know if there's anything I can fix, I'd appreciate it greatly. If another log is needed just ask, I'll post one up ASAP. I have a track session and events coming up in 6weeks and the only local dyno shop that I have any faith in is booked 3 weeks out. I'm cutting it close.

NOTE: I am aware of my coolant temp and the heatsoak on the IC, I've got a 22x8x3.5 that'll be here Wednesday, and ducting will ensue Thursday. I need a bigger WGA as it's fluttering +/- 1psi at 14+psi.

Where is there a speed limit of 87 in Minnesota?

That aside, you actually hit 9.56:1 AFR on data sets 137648 and 137720. You're also hitting some pretty damn lean areas when in boost -- sorted out boost >5PSI, AFR <16, and throttle >60% in excel.

Also, take a peek at these points:
143216
143144
139832

Timing seems off to me, my $0.02.

You consider sending the datalog to FM?

Jeremy is almost 2wks behind on email, and has several in-shop projects as well, so if I email him now, I will probably hear back around the first week of June.

I've tweaked the fuel settings some more, map is cleaner but I wont know how it performs until I try it out later today. The only real tough part is changing the target afr for VE tuning so that it doesn't kill my idle area..

I flattened out the big dip you see in the above map, then ran VE again tonight for about an hour, the performance was much better then before, though VE tuning doesn't seem to autotune boost cells very effectively.

I am still having starting-from-stop issues, which I have pinpointed to be big dips in AFR (I'm assuming), as high as 17.5:1. Not sure if it's the map or tip in or what at this point just yet.

Edit-- Note to self, add load and vacuum to log so I know where to tune this bogging issue out..
