Default Adjusting boost on 2.6

Hey guys, been a LONG time since I've managed the boost levels on my hydra and I have forgotten how to do so. How do I manage the Electronic boost solenoid via the hydra? I want to up my boost from 9 to 15 or so.

Thanks

Well I found the 2d graph and changed a few settings but I don't seem to be climbing above 8psi (WG default iirc?) I'm not sure what to do in this case. Is there any way to test the EBC? Wiring is correct per the manual, as far as I can tell too..

Word is that the EBC on the Hydra is, ahem, lacking. Most users, including myself, are running MBCs.

I have one, just haven't hooked it up. I'll have to look for it... I just hate having to screw around with it (pun not intended).

The 10 minutes you'll spend 'screwing around' with your MBC will provide a much more stable boost control than the 3-4 hours you'll spend screwing around with the **** poor Hydra EBC. There are 2 benefits to EBC, first is that the car will build boost somewhere between a tenth and a hundredth of a second faster. The second benefit is that your Hydra will be able to pull boost under 'limp home' mode.

To counter, a MBC will provide you with 'STABLE' boost. The Hydra EBC is extremely prone to boost spiking and has reliability issues. Also, if you're using a MBC, your hydra will still be able to 'limp home' by overfueling the cylinders to run rich. If your car is tuned right to start with, this will be a non-issue.

If you still want an EBC, drop some coin on a decent setup that can vary boost based on throttle position. Until HydraEMS puts some effort into actually adding a dedicated boost controller, it's just not worth the effort. Flyin' Miata has even been including MBC's into their kits for about a year and a half because they know the EBC is ****.
