Well i'm just proud to say that i have no aftermarket zipties on my car yet

zipties are a drifters best friend. Break your body kit or front lip, ziptie stitch that junx back together. It would be funny if someone used all metal zipties to do the same thing.

They are very commonly used to hold heat wrap around pipes and tubes and junk.

^Yep, they even sell them at Harbor Freight Tools when I use to work there.

Count me among the surprised that there are people on this board who have apparently not looked very closely at heat-wrapped parts (since probably 95% of them use metal zipties).
