1984 BMW 325e opinions
I just need a car to drive for 2 months until I can get my Summer project underway, and this one popped up on CL. He willl take $1000 for it:

I don't really know much about them other than they're torquey and pretty good on gas; and the fact that they're FR is a plus.
Basically, I wanna know if anybody here has anything to say about these cars and whatnot

get only the 325i
not the 325e
not the no-letter 325
the difference is 1500 rpm to the redline and an additional 50 hp.

Well I for one love E30's, any of them, although if it was my $ I too would wait for a 325i. Also if you want cheap and reliable try and get a 318, I know the 318is had the M42 with a timing chain that lasted forever, and the 318i had the M40, but the older 318 with the running boards had the M10, which was kind of crap.
Also I know that those timing belts can sometimes last a bit longer than 50k, but over 60k would probably not be that safe.
In any case, E30 FTW, I really want to buy one and strip it out, then beat the **** out of it.
