Calling CR folks out, low-profile head lights
So my dilemma is, I have no headlights for night driving. Trying to find an alternative that would allow me to manually open the covers and insert a semi-functional headlight assy that would keep the popo from pulling me over. Was looking at the low-profile assy and modding them as a quick removal assy, but that's a rather costly mod. The passenger side has the least clearance... Suggestions?

i bought low profile driving lights from pep boys. screwed them down and the light shines through where my turn signals used to be. that's how i drive at night. they really do light up the road good, and i have driven to (and around)houston with no problems. lights cost $25. so easy, i take them off in 2 mins. at the track. i'll take some pics later.

I say do something like sluz4 did when he had his miata. should be able to rig some kind of harness and mount quick for easy removal.

Mount in turning signal locations.

That crossed my mind. As nice as they look, I'd have to mod the duct fins to fit them in. But for normal night driving I would not need the ducting... Unless I was doing the ALMS series! Which by the way is where I am at currently getting intoxicated...

IL Motorsport has these, you probably find them in the US too.
Not cheap in Germany though :P
