Default After 3 years, Reverend Greg decides to return (OLD THREAD).

It's been 3 years and after numerous promises and emails, both here and mx5atlanta, you finally decide to post. Where are my frame rails you promised me?

1) Hey RG, I did receive the package. Thanks. Looks great. Just wondering will it leak since there are some gouges on the mating surface?

2) Another question, you asked me $50 in the previous email. Are you asking for more because the the frame rail mounting hardware you included?

3) Lastly, any idea when the frame rails will be done?

Thanks,
Kenny
Oops, got theprice quotes mixed up,you are correct,$50.I sand the mating surface to 80 grit so it will seal...everyone always says that.I often use techniques that are more common in heavy equipment construction,The sealent on the fitting is a hightemp/pressure type for diesel truck turbos.Iwill PM as soon as I can get them bent.
(G)
I am have a lot of difficulty getting my employer to put the rails in line to be bent,I will PM you in no more than 4 days to let you know when I can send them.
(G)
that is not the case I have had a lot of problems in the last year,I just now have gotton my internet back.It was turned off because I could not pay the bill.I will try to get back with you on thosse frame rails soon.

There was another excuse about his father in law falling off of a boat. I have that one archived on another hard drive, too as well as so many others.

The previous posts were just convenient for me to find since I don't ever go on mx5atlanta and don't use my message space there. I had to hunt him down over there since he stopped replying here at MT.

This guy is a flake, thief, and full of excuses.

I hope you understand that after the repeated excuses, though, I couldn't really sort through which were genuine. My apologies for the loss of your brother.

I never denied receiving the coolant spacer. It's been so long (~5-6 years from when it all started), I believe the deal was inclusive of the rails because of how long I waited. Nonetheless, it was offered as part of the deal which is clearly posted in the above PMs.

Regardless, Greg said he would make good on his word and I will rescind everything I say once the rails are received.

BTW, this was posted a week ago before I spoke to you yesterday on mx5atlanta.

So Ken,how do you like/feel about your frame rails? They are the second set made, so one bolt hole is off,but otherwise that's them.
Enjoy.

Ok, got these last week. They look pretty good. Haven't measured thickness of these or installed them yet. I'm starting a business and I've been consumed with that.

They are .090-ish thick 304L brushed stainless, the washers are too,but .105" thick and 1" dia.when they are in the car the center crease flattens out.

Are you spacing those bolt heads in the oil filler cap free hand, or is it just a poor anglr in the image? Do you use any kind of a jig?

Just a bad angle, I drilled them on the CNC lathe. It's polished pretty bright,so its reflecting a bit.
