Lot's of insurance fraud attempts are made after wrecking on an autocross. People move their wrecked car to the side of a road and call insurance. Insurance companies don't want the risk of potential fraud, and that's their decision to make. Can't blame them for watching their own tail.

I remember reading in a magazine awhile back about some company canceling people's warranties and then Chevrolet mailing people saying "go ahead and race, you're covered".

running into a pole is one thing....a clutch failure (besides worn disc) is another....what if the brakes failed....the hardline had a hole, the slave failed, etc etc etc, they should be able to back their **** engineering.

Yeah, I blame them in this example. I pay a lot of money for insurance, and if state farm canceled my **** over this I'd be pretty pissed. My agent knows what I do with the car though.

I know the evo/sti crowd is a big part of this, so hopefully no one cares about my pos $1500 car.
