mullet car vs people
what not to do at your local auto-X http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fF4s6...eature=related

Pretty sure there are some seriously good handling corvettes out there. After seeing them destroy vipers and Aston Martins at road atlanta as well as watching them PWN all at the local autox I don't consider vettes' poor handling.
That was definitely driver error, I could do the same thing in the miata if I sucked at life that bad. The idiot standing at the tail end of a high speed (relative to autox speeds) corner screwed himself over. Hope he didn't die there.

ARE YOU ******* KIDDING ME! The cause of those people getting hit wasn't driver error(sorry C) or Corvette handling... it was the organizers of the event and the people themselves. Cars will spin out at autocrosses. They'll spin out on corner exit, corner entry, straighlines, sweepers, 180's, slalom, the starting line, the final dash... they'll spin out anytime they're moving. Everybody spins out... EVERYBODY! Those people were camped in probably the worst possible place I could imagine... corner exit, where anybody who makes an overcorrection during power-on oversteer will wipe out directly into them. That was bullshit and totally the fault of the organization for allowing them there and the people themselves for not having any sense of self preservation. DON'T CAMP AT THE CORNER EXIT!
Oh, and HOT95, are you going to contribute something useful of just talk **** in the BS and M&G forums. Just 11 more spam posts and you can play in the classifieds

I hate stupid people! When I used to street race, I always stood behide the start line. It is the safest place.
There was just something about a bike doing 160 and NOS that made me think that bike could become a bowling ball taking out people like pins.
Car or bike same principle.

vettes can handle, it just that most street vettes you see have owners that can't drive
some very fast vettes at nationals if you ever care to look up the results, i get beat by a c5 zo6 on a regular basis, he is on 305's hoosiers
that was poor organization, nothing more...if i was auto-x'ing there, i wouldbe affraid to get on it due to the bystanders, people can spin, yeah this guy is prolly not the best driver out there, but you as an organizer have to anticipate that
at our events, people only stay close to the course if they are working and if they are clost to a light pole, no one else is allowed on course or close to course

There isn't a better performing car or a car with more potential out there in the Corvette price range and it also kicks the asses of some cars that cost 4-5 times more.
That said I haven't cared for the styling much since the '67.
The C6 is better than the C5 in style but still isn't much to look at.
