Default Free racetrack, for Alaska residents

I was born and raised in Tok, AK a small town 90 miles west of the canadian border. Anyway, i'm still a resident and go home once in a while from school. There is a old WWII airport with a few different runways and taxi ways that when put together right with cones and general direction it makes for one awesome FREE roadtrack that you can run all day. There are no elevation changes and the surface has some plants growing up through it. There is no emergency support if you wreck but there is also no one to tell you to get the heck out.
Here is an aerial photo.

Here is a video of the alaska sports car club racing out there. It's 16 minutes or more. I would imbed it but it's not on youtube.

Sad thing is, I won't be going home for a long time and when I am there I have zero vehicles worth racing. Almost need to buy a miata just to leave up there.

No there is plenty of law. Not renegade at all. There just aren't many people considering one metro city in the lower 48 will have more people than the entire state...

looks like a prime candidate for some red bull flying machines with that long straight and the river at the end, and WOW that straight is a mile(ish) long!!!

Yeah it's pretty intense. Only car i've ever had on that track was a integra type r that had been rolled and straightened back out. No glass including windshield, a huge 3" rollbar just because someone had a piece of pipe that could be welded in, and door bars welded inside the stripped doors. The car was of course completely stripped after it was rolled. We didn't even have helmets(read: stupid!). Anyway, the tires were some shitty winter tire with not even close to enough tire pressure. The guy driving was out of his mind but we had fun. Only bad part was the dragon fly's, they're huge, hit you in the face and it feels like a bird just rammed you.

Damn why in Alaska?? That place looks like heaven. I wonder if there are places like that in Canada? Maybe a road trip is in order.

And that Integra sounds... interesting.

Worst thing about old airports are the jumps across expansion joints (ala sebring). I know cold wreaks havoc on asphalt, wonder if it's moved those massive blocks.

It's still like that in Anchorage. Then again in Cookeville, TN i see one honda a week driving around with it's hood off for some reason or another. I hate anchorage though, too many damn people.

I graduated with 8 other kids, i prefer small town most the time.
