Maybe I am confusing him with someone else, but I am pretty sure I am remembering this correctly.

He had teins when I met him at a meet north of the tampa area. And I distinctly remember him talking about the pillowball mounts. He even gave a bunch of people a ride in his car to show them off. I have ridden in and driven a lot of miatas so it's possible I remember him but I am associating him with the wrong white NA that had a bunch of carbon fiber crap on the inside. It's entirely possible that he has moved on to a different appearance in the intervening years.

I remember coming away with the impression that he talked a really enthusiastic game about car modding, but he never did anything other than appearance mods. He definitely had the money to put a turbo on the car and none of his other reasons for holding off on doing it made any sense.

Plus, it isn't like randy hasn't posted reams of personal opinions all over the internet for anyone to read.

I could drag this on but I'm gonna resist trolling randy and his friends.

I apologize for insulting you guys. I was mostly annoyed at Randy for coming into that thread and saying I was a teenager whose parents bought all his parts for him. Besides being untrue that struck me as profoundly ironic coming from someone with Randy's background.

To quote Roger Clemons, "You are misremembering." Randy has never had Teins, ever. He has always run Tanabes. Second, he doesn't give rides to anyone past or present. Never has, never will. You can sit in the car, but that is about it. Third, there are so many white Miatas in our local group it isn't funny. That is the top color next to red and black. More than likely, you are referring to another person's car which brings me to my last point. You need to make for certain that you know who it is before you talk smack about them in a public forum.

I think somebody has a man-crush on Randy. You sure know a lot about him and his ways.

Good call, but I don't think my wife or his would approve.

If you think we are ricers, you can bring your sometimes running Miata to Bradenton dragway and prove it.....
I have quite a few horses under my hood. And if I can't get it done, Qkmx5 has somewhere north of 600hp at this point..... Heck, make it a Miata throwdown weekend. Our club will race anyone, anywhere (except public streets). We'll even buy you dinner after you lose (seriously). We have autocrossers, Spec Miatas, V8 conversions. That has always been the case with our club. And if you think Phat's engine bay is stock, race him. He may not be turbo, but he is def not stock.

Phat is a cool dude, would give you the shirt of his back if you needed. That is why 96rdstr spoke up. Yes Phat does defend the companies he uses, but that is just like anyone that has a company that they like. He knows that shop personally. And of course he would take any diss to them personal. I do understand the point about the Fortunes. I was thinking the same thing about the maker and shock dyno plots. But R-speed in the last I would say 3 years has kinda left what I would call the hardcore tuner market. I don't blame them, why battle against BEGI, FM and Fatcat, they are really good at what they do. It's is just too hard to make the customers happy. The dyno plots will only matter to a small few. The Fortunes will find a niche just like Megans, Tein, JIC, and all the other adj coilovers out there.

Bradenton is probably the closest drag strip to here, but that isn't really saying much. There's pretty much no 1/4 mile strips for about 10 hours worth of driving from here. It's frustrating. I've pretty much given up any hope of ever getting to a drag strip unless I move.

Randy didn't come in there to defend the company, he came in there to insult me. Randy didn't say a single thing about the company or the product. And like pretty much every non-ricer who read that thread, you're agreeing with what I said. **** Randy, **** his attitude and **** his 700 dollar JDM taillights. He is a ricer. In principle, it's no different from all the high school kids with wings and fart cans. He just has a high enough budget that it doesn't end up looking like an embarrassing pile of ****.

I never thought you were a ricer since you actually put together your own turbo setup. But the fact that you exist and hang out with Randy doesn't really change what randy said or how Randy has chosen to mod his car.

Well, I have always been a believer that competition can resolve any disputes. Where I grew up, if you had a disagreement, you fought, there was a 'win, lose or draw' and that was the end of it. So how about this, you and Phat pick a date in the future, whatever date you can agree on. Then meet and compete on a track. Whatever you guys could agree on. Maybe one date for 1/4 mile and one date for autocross. Then Phat can prove he is not a ricer, or you could prove that he is. Doesn't Orlando have a 1/4 track. We could make a All Miata Florida meet of it. I think it would be good because Phat is a 'Cane and you are a 'Nole. I think Elimnator 77 is in this state also so maybe we could get some of the heavy hitters to come out.

I'm not interested in drag racing you guys or hanging out with you. No one cares what you have to prove about yourselves or randy.

Just declare victory and **** off back to whatever forum you tampa bay guys hang out on. You get to feel good about yourselves and we get to forget you existed. Everyone comes out ahead.

You are really a funny guy. Someone hands you the olive branch, and you still don't 'get it'.

Respect is earned.

And yeah, the other board annoys me in more ways than I can count.

I also thought that this troll fucked off. If he fucked off, why is he still here making stupid posts?

Really, I am pretty sure this is you. ^^^^^ Your car was a 1997 STO, maybe still is. Your tone is the same. The signature is even the 99% the same. You lived in Palm harbor and Spring Hill, moved to Tallahassee go to law school around 2006. That would explain why you would meet up with a bunch of peeps in N.Tampa.

Funny thing is you also ordered and installed AWD gauge faces for your instrument cluster. You know the gauge faces from Japan? Man, that sounds like rice to me, and where did you get those? Rspeed perhaps, are you 100% positive you never bought anything from them in the past as stated in the miata.net thread? There were only a couple of places that you could get AWD gauges in 2004. Also, you were also waiting on a certain John Kalmar from Axis Racing to carbon you up? You mean carbon fiber, like rice type carbon fiber? It sounds like you were/are into rice as well. Sound familiar? I could bring up the local post to refresh your memory if you need help. Is there anything else you want to be two faced about?

So basically you guys have given up on defending what phatmiata said on m.net and you're just trying to find out who I am so you can personally attack me?

I know your identity. Your double talk and denial of "beerslurpy" shows exactly who and what type of person you are. You are going to make a great lawyer.
