What a douche. The dem leadership is going out of their way to foster a good relationship with Bush, which should set the example for how the underlings should behave.
He needs to understand that while people did vote for him, a lot of those people were just voting against the other party. Disrespecting the president--especially to his face and publicly--is not a good move for anyone. I expect that he'll get a-talkin-to.

THe man obviously didnt want to talk to the president. I dont see what the big deal is. I think there are more important issues than this senetor and president not licking each others *****.
Good for webb, when bush's kids are in iraq well see how that goes.
Webb made it pretty clear he didnt want to discuss his child, and Bush pushed it. Lack of respect from the president.
Americans watch out....

i just found humor in the article. thats all. i mean even if you dont believe in his poilcies he's the president and your a freakin senator, shake his hand and get on with life. VA is a Republican state (except for "poor" Richmond), it's not going to sit well. Anywho....

I think the pres. could handle the rejection, i would be worried if he couldnt, or if the american people couldnt get over it...

Its more of a procedure and respect type of thing...if you want to get **** done, just shake the ******* hand...it doesn't matter if you like him or not. However, I can understand about his son, if he didn't want to talk about it, it shouldn't have been pressed.
However, its a volunteer fighting force...for now x.X so lets not start trying to say "he sent our boys..."

True, he did, but I'm talking about blaming him for them being over there, they choose to join and congress approved it. But I'm not looking to argue about that. They are over there and we'll be there for a while :\
