other than the copper looking like fake patina, i like it.

i used to have a bandit, sold it when i got the miata. good thing because i was planning to microsquirt and turbocharge that instead of the miata. Glad I am not dead right now.

as far as tracking it, i don't think it'd be too much fun on the track. There's a reason they're called "STREET"fighters . The bike is quite heavy (can't shave off much weight, its all in the engine and frame) like 450 lbs. It doesn't change direction very well either because of the conservative steering geometry and the long wheelbase.

i probably wouldn't actually use a bandit, though being oil cooled it really cuts down on the clutter, but there were guys at the track with bikes worse than that doing some amazing things

plus i agree with the copper junk, mine would just be %100 flat black

A v-twin may not have the emotional appeal of a big four, but I can bet its faster (and much, much more usable) at the track. Look at all the modern GP bikes, the front runners are all V engines, or inline-4's that fire like v-twins, like this Yamaha YZR-M1:

i like fairings too,

but i was thinking of making something different. something i didn't care if i left it outside. beat the **** out of it all over the place, but still have serious capability on the track and not cost me a ton if go down and wreck it, probably a 600cc sportbike from 10 years back. basically a stripped sportbike with a bobbed rear end and painted flat black

May I suggest this SV that just begs to be made a streetfighter:

http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/mcy/738625905.html

Could be a great track-day weapon too. It weighs as much as a 600 supersports. And has very aggressive steering geometry.

Meh, not really a fan.

I see to many bikes like that, but usually they are like that because the rider laid them down and doesn't have the money to fix it. They just pick the bike back up, take off the fairings and go to walmart's ricer section to pick up some fog lights to use as headlights.

The bike in the OP looks like suicide with tires.

Watching that youtube video reminds me, I'll be at Laguna Seca this weekend volunteering as part of my volunteer hours (I'm trying to get an award...) and I've heard it's a motorcycle race. I've never attended anything featuring 2-wheeled vehicles so it should be a good experience.

I love "streetfighters". I think this one looks badass, very nice.

I have a complete VFR750 engine sitting in my garage waiting for a lot of free time.
