How tall are you Miata guys?
I'm 6'1" and 210lbs, never driven a Miata yet, mine hasn't run until just recently. But I've sat in it w/ the top up and my head hits the ceiling.
I don't care much, not planning to drive it in rain anyway. Just wondering if some other guys here are on the taller side.
Sat in the '09 Model at the AutoShow and the rep. put the hardtop up while I was in the car and I nearly broke my neck.
I'm curious to see how/if I like driving it or not.

6'1", about 200 lbs, and I wear size 14 boots (Timberland Titans, to be exact.) Interior is 100% stock and unmodified. I run the seat forward a bit and then lean the back as far as it'll go. My legs tough the wheel, but my head clears both the softtop and the hardtop with an inch or so to spare. Fits like a glove.

i'm 6' 214. i sit plenty low with my sparcos but could use more room entering/exiting, may eventually get a d-cut wheel.

6'1" and 160lbs here. I slouch most of the time when the top is up for fear of hitting my head on bumps. I'd like to get a smaller steering wheel so my knees hitting the wheel don't mess up my heel-toe shifts (though this may also be because I suck at them), but other than that, it's the most comfortable ride I've ever been in.

Actually, it works out pretty well. To heel-toe, I put the ball of my foot on the brake pedal just off-center, and roll right so that the outer edge of my boot operates the gas pedal. Sounds awkward, but it's amazingly easy and very controllable.
The only problem I have is that the cuff of my left pants leg tends to catch on the hood release handle every now and then.

I should have also mentioned that I use that seatbelt lock from FM. (I forget what it's called). It's great - holds you into the seat, which is great for a foamectomied seat since I used to get a little back pain if I drove for awhile before. It also (this is the part relevant to this thread) holds you against the seat over bumps, which makes the car feel much smoother and more comfortable. I used to get thrown up toward the roof over some of the bumps in GA, but after I installed that I stayed with the car. IIRC it's only $40 and almost a must if you're a bigger guy afraid of hitting the roof.

There are some big boys in here. I'm 6', 200lbs and fit mostly ok and with the foamectomy my head isn't in direct proximity of the roll bar. I needmore space though. Im not sure if I need a seat bolted to the floor. How much lower does that put you? It seems like thats about the only other option.

6'5" and 250 lbs. Had to take the armrest out when I had the stock steering wheel and seat in but have since put in a Momo wheel. Had to also go with aftermarket seats to get away from the roof, so went with Ultra shield Rally Sport/ 17" accross and 20 deg. seatback, and mounted to stock rails. This is an excellent fit but I would not recommend for long trips.
I found that I can drive the car with no seat in it, but then it is too roomy.
