I feel ya on the lose man... I was floored too when it happened. Wish yall would have knocked off Boise State though... I haven't checked out their bar though mainly due to the fact it is across the ocean and I can't swim that well. Haha. If I make my way over there I plan to check it out along with all of the Trappist breweries as well.

Gotcha, that's why I went to the ones I've been to thus far, Westvleteren is pretty nice, while you can't buy beer from the monastery obviously the Cafe across the street is freakin awesome and relatively cheap at 4.50 for a glass of 12.

I had one Hell of a Saturday last weekend when it came to drinking (yes, I was SMASHED by the end of the night)... Here is the breakdown and my reviews:
1) Allagash Interlude: A-
"2009 Vintage. Served from bottle into an Allagash flute. Poured yellow-orange with a minimal white head. There was no apparent lacing throughout. The aroma was comprised of malt, apple cider, and wheat. The flavor was sweet (almost sugary), apple cider, and dark fruit. It was light on the palate with high carbonation. Overall this was a nice wild ale. The feel on the palate with the high carbonation was quite nice and refreshing for me throughout this one. The flavors were spot-on and not overpowering as you can get a massive sour aftertaste with some of these style brews. This is a definite must try."
2) Duck-Rabbit Rabid Duck: A
"Served from tap into a 4oz tumbler. Pours pretty much black with a slight red hue with a minimal tan head. Maintained excellent lacing throughout. The aroma was comprised of roasted malt, subtle coffee bean, and vanilla. The flavor was of roasted malt, subtle coffee, a nice alcohol sting, and subtle hops. It had a medium feel on the palate with low carbonation. Overall this was better on tap than it was in the bottle in my previous review. I suggest if you haven't had this one before that you try to get your hands on it as you will likely not be disappointed."
3) Founders Breakfast Stout: A
"Served from tap into a 4oz tumbler. Pours reddish black with a minimal tan head. Maintained decent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of roasted malt and coffee beans. The flavor was of roasted malt, coffee, subtle vanilla, and cream. It had a heavy feel on the palate with low carbonation. Overall this brew was better on tap hands down. Seems that the flavors present were more crisp and defined than out of the bottle I had earlier in the week. Still good either way as this is quite an exceptional brew to say the least."
4) Heavy Seas - Hang Ten: B+
"My first cask review! Sampled at Duckworth's in Charlotte during a day of drinking and college football. Served from cask into a weizen glass. Poured a deep reddish brown with a minimal white head. The aroma was comprised of malt, flower petals, wheat, and citrus. The flavor was of malt, wheat, subtle spices, subtle citrus, and bread. It had a light feel on the palate with no carbonation at all. Overall this brew had an excellent balanced flavor that made it quite enjoyable to down the glass. This one has made me look forward to cracking open the bomber of this I have sitting at home currently."
5) Highland Auld Asheville Vintage Ale: A-
"Served from bottle into a shaker. Pours a hazy deep reddish brown with a minimal off-white head. Maintained decent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of malt and caramel. The flavor was of malt, subtle hop, and spices. It was light on the palate with mild carbonation. Overall this was a very good brew. I have been looking for this one for quite awhile and found it in the 'Bargain Bin' at Duckworth's and had to have it. The hop note present was a very welcome palate change from the spices and malt which made this one quite enjoyable. A must try if you can find it."
6) Hitachino Nest Espresso Stout: B
"Served from tap into a 4oz tumbler. Poured a reddish black when held up in the light with a one finger tan head that lingered throughout. Maintained excellent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of roasted malt and subtle coffee beans. The flavor was of subtle espresso, roasted malt, a little watery, with a nice cream followthrough. It had a medium feel on the palate with low carbonation. Overall this brew wasn't that bad, but it also wasn't that great either. For me the flavor and aroma profile of this one was lacking a little bit. If this were to have been bumped up a bit this could be quite excellent. Worth trying on tap for sure, but that is about it..."
7) Lagunitas A Little Sumpin' Wild Ale: B+
"Served from tap into a weizen glass. Poured a nice golden yellow with a one finger white head. Maintained phenomenal lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of malt, hops, citrus, and spices. The flavor was of malt, sweet hops, with a bitter hop followthrough attacking your taste buds upon swallowing. It had a light feel on the palate with high carbonation. This was a very nice brew to enjoy. It just needed a little more on the flavor to be great. The aroma was quite excellent however. This is worth trying at least once if you can get your hands on it."
8) North Coast Old Rasputin: A
"Served from tap into a 4oz tumbler. Poured black with a minimal light tan head. Maintained excellent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of roasted malt and coffee beans. The flavor was of coffee, cream, and roasted malt. It was heavy on the palate with low carbonation. Overall this is a very nice brew. Goes down nice and smooth. Actually leaves a nice feel on the palate as well upon swallowing. This is a definite must try if you have not done so already."
9) Bavik Petrus Aged Pale: A-
"Served from tap into a ribbed wine glass. Poured a golden yellow with a minimal white head. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of malt and a sour note. The flavor was of sour/tart, wheat, and alcohol. It was light on the palate with high carbonation. Overall this brew had a really nice flavor to it. Both the aroma and the flavors were balanced really nicely and not overwhelming. If you are a Wild Ale fan you would likely enjoy this one as well."
10) Unibroue Trois Pistoles: A-
"Served from bottle into an Allagash flute. Poured dark brown with a one finger off-white head that quickly subsided to minimal. There was no lacing evident throughout. The aroma was comprised of malt, bread, citrus, and sweet sugar. The flavor was of malt, spice, and subtle citrus. It was light on the palate with mild carbonation. Overall this was a nice brew. Not the best of its style, but a pretty nice example. The flavor was very pleasant and the aroma was very complex. Worth trying for sure."

Laginitas little sumpin sumpin ale is a limited item. I bought 3 cases of it 2 weeks ago. I'm down to about a 12 pack. This stuff is so good. I'm blowing a vacation day tomorrow and getting **** done here at home most likely wasted on this stuff. Pre-game this delicious wheat ale with a Vegas bomb and you're set for the night. Vegas bomb (similar to a jagerbomb) = redbull, shot of crown royal with a little peach schnapps and a real little bit of coconut rum. Slam and enjoy.
I usually pour 2 12oz bottles of the laginitas product into a 24oz mug and I'd say after 2 mugs, I'm doin alright.

Laginitas "Little Sumpin Wild Ale". I drank 5 22oz bottles last night and was hardcore wasted. I think it's 8.8% alcohol? It's delicious though...

Trying a fort collins chocolate stout tonight
Not too thick for a stout, I like it. I might try a few more tonight...
I also need to go ****** a batch of the brews from smokey mountain brewery and post them up. I think they have 12 or so different kinds, I tasted a few and you can definitely tell that's its damn fresh.
