those vents are seriously the bane of my existence. I particularly hate when I see them on a relatively upscale car.

Mostly, around here I see people putting the square ones on chargers/300c's.

i will certainly post some details on the transmission conversion once it's installed.

i know it sounds silly - but the camry v6 uses an identical transmission to the mid 90's MR2 turbo. the only difference is the shift linkage is set up for ff instead of mr.

And he didn't even know to put two on each side.

Number of vents on the car = number of cylinders on cars that are MEANT to have them.

Exactly. I laugh my *** off at people driving their ghettocruisers with V8's but they glue 3 big chrome, non-functional vents on either side.

+ one billion. I don't see it out here in California, but in Georgia they were ALL. OVER. THE. PLACE.

Good solution I want to see someone braver than I try; going around as the "Porthole Avenger", armed with a sharpened metal putty knife, scraping off unwarranted portholes in one fell swoop... per side, of course. Scrape some paint? Who cares! It looks better than the damn portholes did! Could be a very amusing Youtube series if done well.

I used to have a 77 Buick that had those portholes. They were fake. Apparently back in the 50s when they first came out they were fake too.

What we have here is rice imitating rice!

Those fake non-functional stick on hood scoops and now the latest trend, which appears to be those little fender stick ons...are the gayest **** ever. They go right up next to the trucks that drive around with a set of plastic ********* swingin from the hitch. This country is supposed to be going through a time where people are getting laid off left and right, but yet to some people it must be a necessity to waste money on pieces of **** from the autozone ghetto isle. This country is so depriortized that people figure, "I don't want to spend $500 on a fiberglass hood with a functional scoop for my dodge ram, I could just go to autozone and buy fake stick on scoops for $20."
