Default Bosozoku style: I dont get it

put a massive wedge on the front of your car, a 10 foot high exhaust, and a big oil cooler with 20 feet of hose hanging out your front bumper?

Someone explain this ****?

A guy I sort of know, on a local forum. He has too much time and money...

Still a work in progress. Now in the Phoenix area.

If I had that much time and money to blow, I'd do that **** just for the ***** and giggles.

Just watched a video about this the other day. F...ing crazy. To each his own, but it's a lot of work for an ugly car. Do they actually hook up that 9ft of oil cooler? And how do they get the huge front lips to stay on? They're basically picnic tables for bumpers

Ok, guys. It's basically the biggest troll conspiracy of all time. They know it looks stupid as hell- thats the point. Just don't say anything about it- good or bad- and maybe they'll move on to the next idiotic, "hey look at me" fad.

That **** has been around a long ******* time....if you just now saw it, welcome to the internet. It doesn't bother me because it's mostly decent time and money put into them to be physically clean. Sure the styling is extreme, but that's the point. Unlike the 1/4 assembled mexiwhitetrash rice we are used to, these cars hactually have pride put into them. It's no more a strange culture than Rat Daddy Fink and the people who love off the wall hotrods.

Well yeah. I've seen it a few times and just tried to forget about it. I think its only been a U.S. thing as of the past few years. The Japanese really are into over the top stuff so thats fine, but I think it'll die out as quickl as it came here.

Like lowriders, just cause I don't get it doesn't mean it was built with pride. Just not my style

this may be the first time urban dictionary has phailed me...

"Japanese motorcycle gangs. They can be seen wearing pilot jumpsuits and kamikaze headbands driving around roads and highways on souped up motorcycles decorated with battle flags and no mufflers meaning you can hear the full roar of their bike engines.

Bosozokus mostly consist of teenaged high school drop-outs unlike their western counterparts such as the Hells Angelswhich consist of mostly middle aged war veterans.

They are not as well known outside of Japan like the yakuza but they can be seen a lot in animes such as "Akira" and "GTO" or films like "Black Rain"."

Why? Cuz why the **** not, that's why. No one else every gets kinda tired of black/silver/white cars with nice wheels that look tough?

^not hating on that, that's a classic formula for a nice looking vehicle but it gets kinda old when you look at the same thing every day. I never really understood why people get angry over what some other dude did to his own vehicle with his own money.

I wear some goofy *** shoes (not to business meetings or functions where nice dress is expected of course) because simply wearing them pisses certain people off, and it's just shocking to see. Why not have fun and do something nuts? After all we aren't talking about chopping up a Concours 250 GTO. THAT is a sin.

Agree. it seems like there is actually skill put into some of these builds. At least most of them look "complete".

There will be people who disapprove of any automotive trend. Bosozoku style obviously murders performance so it's no surprise that many members here, a forum where performance and functionality are top priorities, will not be impressed.

I'm personally a fan of the look. They achieve exactly what they set out to do, and that's to have a one of a kind car that looks completely over the top. You can tell that the people who build many of those cars are very adept with body work, too. If I already had a few race cars, lowriders and bosozoku would probably come next. But damn, I'd never mix those things.
