Default Bought my wife a pump shotgun for Mothers Day

Paid $225 at a local pawn shop for this 8-shot 12 Gauge Mossberg 500a "Persuader" with 21" barrel:

Size comparison to some other shotguns (bolts all lined up and all barrels sawed off):

This was the shotgun that I always wanted (home defense and just to be a badass in general) but after shooting it I realize that I think I would much rather have the 20 gauge version. Still, I told my wife it was a present for her and she won't let me trade it in. After all the guns I have purchased lately I doubt that I am going to be buying the 20GA version any time soon.

I did not get it on video (was standing there with a camcorder but she did it too fast for me to turn it on) but my wife fired both barrels of that 20 gauge double barrel the other day at the gun range. It just about broke her hand and it scared/hurt her so much that she dropped the gun and bent the barrel. For the record, I was not the one who told her "Nah, go ahead and shoot both, it will be OK".

Nothing says "I love you" like a shotgun, I say.

Upgrade the barrel to one with the potato-masher-door-breacher-sawtooth tip.

Get her one of these too. I have one on my 12 gauge Maverick (home defense) and it is fantastic.
