Default Attention Guitar Heroes (full-NWS)

Ok. So they've done Aerosmith and they've done Metallica. Why haven't they signed any really popular bands to the franchise? Am I the only one who would love to see:

The metallica kit includes a second drum pedal, in case playing metallica songs on hard with one pedal wasn't crazy enough.

Who ever own the Beatles stuff might be wanting more money. I think it's Jacko that owns that crap. But he might have sold it recently. It all depends on who has the legal rights to the music.

I'd guess that both Aerosmith and especially Metallica are much more popular than the Beatles amongst the Guitarhero/video game crowd.

Now Van Halen for GH seems like a no brainer.

You know you people joke about certain businesses making more money than a small country? Revenue from the Guitar Hero franchise, at over US$1.6 billion, has exceeded the GDP of Bhutan.

Bob Kotick, CEO of Activision, had this to say on the subject of "Guitar Hero: Aerosmith" and what it has brought in for the band: “[Their] version of ‘Guitar Hero’ generated far more in revenues than any [single] album ever has. Merchandising, concert sales, their ability to sign a new contract [have] all been unbelievably influenced by their participation in ‘Guitar Hero.’”

Money my ***. Somebody's not trying hard enough.

The Beatles (whoever owns the rights) don't even have their songs available for download from Amazon or Itunes. Or maybe they're waiting for them to be remastered:

Michael Jackson....it's why he and Paul McCartney are no longer friends. Google it, it's an interesting story.

I wasn't sure if Whacko had sold them back to Paul or to someone to cover his debt.

If THAT'S the reason PM isn't friends with Jacko, he's got some issues too!

I'd love to see the Guitar Hero franchise burn to the ground.

Fake or real? They look a little too perky to be real. But I like it anyways.

That place is a blight. Seriously though, it's the bastardization of music, albeit mostly lame music, for the sake of a buck. It's pure ******* evil.

there is already a set date for The Beetles version of GH!

but i dont have any interest in picking up that whole set, esp when it costs way over 200 for the full set.

Beatles would kick ***.

I play GH on the Wii with my 10yo son. It is fun playing with him. By myself, not so much.
We have Legends of Rock, Aerosmith, World Tour and we will be getting Metallica

I didn't think this was that great of an idea when Joe first posted, but after seeing a pretty damn decent Beatles cover band at The Continental Club over the weekend with my father and law, I remembered how great their music really is, and how friggin addictive the game would be. You really can't see it played by a group live without singing nearly every song outloud and grabbin' some random chick to dance with for half of 'em (my father-in-law is cool).
