It takes me roughly 40-45min to get from my house to Ft.Lauderdale/Hollywood Int'l Airport..door to door, hope that helps??

Dunno y but I got the impression whatmiata is closer than u guys...Also noticed he posts pretty late at night so may not have access to comp right now..? Guess we'll see soon enough...

U guys wanna talk tonight or tomm night to go over what we need tool wise? I'd hate for us to get stuck for nothing...? If u guys think its overkill then dont worry, just thought it might be helpful seeing as how we got so much to do...

On the Autozone trip list...

-Oil
-Brake Cleaner

Add the mineral spirits if you do not have it. Beer as well, it's not like we are working for free here

I do not think I have much to bring except my crappy hand tools, torque wrench, some jack stands, and a useless Haynes manual.

Since noone has called it yet- Dibbs for a ride on the first boosted run

1-already got the mineral spirits, but good eye!

2-Phil, if ur gonna be close to 836, then take that west to 826south, follow the directions from there... You COULD take Us1 ALLLLL the way down to 216 stereet, but it would take a LONG time, at least much longer than the hwy. U can also do 95 south to US1,then keep going-which would be quicker than US1 straight, but still slower than 836/826..

If your not too far from 836 do that 4 sho..

Let me know if u need better directions...Oh one more thing...slight EDIT on the last part I pm'd u all....There will NOT be a 350z in the driveway, but a white benz. Lent my friend my car till Sunday...All else is da same..

Anything else we could be forgetting guys???
FYI pipes are done, picking them up in the morning...And clutch place is open till noon tomm, so will get the flywheel done as well...Work was a Kila today, there was NO way to get it done..But I will have all done by noon tomm, then get some beer and then a final checklist..
Everyone is eating breakfast before coming right?? There's a breakfast place around the corner where we can grab something if not? Right next to Autozone..

Anyone heard form whatmiata? Just curious as to how much beer to get..

Hm, the following always come in handy:

- zipties
- black electrical tape
- JB weld
- PB blaster/wd-40

Doing breakfast together would be a neat idea. Heck, this will be my first time meeting everyone. Though in the interest of time... maybe a dunkin' donuts run and eating under the hood would be the best bet.

I'll definitely be throwing my toolbox in the back of the Miata.

Its all up to you guys...but like u said, time is of the essence...
Let me know if everyone is cool with this...
Meet at my place at 8. We'll go over/inspect what been done (make sure its all up to par), what needs ot be done (i already have a pretty detailed list, but im sure u guys will know better), and what we NEED to get.
Then we can do a 1stop deal. We'll hit up advanced, get everything, then right next store is breakfast, we'll grab some bagels or something to go...and chow down back at the garage??
If not its all good, just eat before u come...i only have so many cheerios

I pulled the wifes car out, and repositioned the miata in the middle of the garage so we have room to work from all angles...

Got the pipes (look really good), and flywheel is good as new!
Made sure all my tools/parts were accounted for and refreshed my memory as to where I left off....
The major stuff is obviously gonna be clutch & MS/tune...The rest is petty stuff that we should be able to rip thru with so many people..
I guess we'll decide tomm how to tackle the various things...and plan the day out.

Got a case of Amstel L, and Miller L, and got a few leftover Mich Ultra/Presidentes in the fridge...also some ice...
Far as fod goes, we'll decide on somethign and get it delivered...on me
Also talked to a couple friends who will be stopping by in and out to check out the build...none of them have any knowledge/experience, but I'm sure they can at least replace beers for us

U guys think we should talk ton the phone sometime to today to give everything a once over?? Or just take it from the top tomm?

I have jbweld, some zipties, etc...anythign else we'll grab at advanced...

Anyone have a timing light???

And Phil I got a clutch tool at the flywheel shop, but bring in case if u want...

Oh by the way guys...BYOG..bring ur own gloves! I got a pair, plus some latex ones, but thats it...

I'll bring my timing light. What material are your IC pipes? I ask because you may want to paint them. I painted mine with some hi temp black. That might be something you could do tonight so that they car dry.

They're actually 2" stainless steel, so I wasnt gonna paint them since they should be lookin pretty for a while...if they ever start to turn i can always paint them...that was my plan anyway, unless u see otherwise?

Remember, whenever I make a statement about the build, Im talking from NO experience+some research+some common sense...so if u know something that contradicts what Im thinking/saying, please come forward and educate...That goes with everyone, from now on...(this way I can just make a statement and not have to say, "BUT......blahblahblah"..
Just throwing it out there...

Good job on the timing light

Throw anything else u can think of at me....grabbign some food, will read up in a bit

We should be there by 8, maybe a little early. I'll call joseph and make sure that we get on the road to make it to Phil by 7 (Wendys just west of commercial).

Phil, I think you an Eli are going to know the area a lot better than me so try to stay out of boost so I can keep up

How many idiots does it take to install a clutch and a turbo?

j/k Good times on Sunday! Sweet caravan down with Sebastian (What Miata) showing up in the sickest widebody modified miata of them all. Well not really, but the supercharged Shelby Series 1 was an acceptable substitute.

We had a few stupid issues that help us up for an hour a piece. Other than that everything went pretty smooth. I had to leave at about 7 to calm down the wife, and things were pretty much all together at that point.

Pretty sure those no-season tires are not going to last very long. Update Tony?

I spoke with Scott via email yest, and he was pretty sure it was somethign VERY simple...we couldnt talk last night on the phone, but I checked what he hoped it was (boot jumper??) and it seems that is not the issue...

I took some pics of the board and am sending to him...we're gonna tlak tonight and see if he can figure it out. Eli called me, siad his boy Dave lives by me and runs MS....So we're gonna try to get him and scott on the phone at my place tonight...Cross ur fingers guys!!!!

What fantastic times! Was truly a pleasure meeting everyone. We'll definitely have to keep in touch and hopefully keep these reunions on a more regular basis.

Phil, still on for Towers this Friday?

Tony, best of luck, you've got my # should you need anything.
