Default Change oil before or after dyno run?

We only have 2500 miles on the synth oil but it has been over 6 months since the last change and that is probably long enough even though the MSM turbo is water cooled (I don't mind spending the $25 for the extra oil change each year). We are getting ready to do some pulls on a dyno and I was just wondering what you guys thought about changing oil before or after the pulls (three of them).

I check my levels before, but I don't change based on a few dyno pulls.

HHR (or something like that). About 2-3 blocks from Frankies Fun Park. Gonna hit it tomorrow around noon.

1 dyno pull is equivalent to how many hours of track time? I can go about 8-hours on an oil change before it deteriorates.

A dyno pull takes about 15 seconds. So three of them is 45 secs. Lets round up to 60secs to make it easy.

So a dyno session is the equivalent of .016667 of an hour of track time.

It would take 480 dyno sessions to wear out the oil.

So, do you change your oil before or after going to the track?

If its dirty/old then change it.
Going to the dyno or not has nothing to do with anything imo.
Just a 10 second pull like you would do if you were driving it spiritedly.

I change it after every 3 or 4 track days. I don't count miles anymore.

Think about the way we drive our cars on the street every day. Personally, I suspect that one dyno session is roughly equivalent to about one week worth of commuting to and from work.

Guys, I think I'm going to merge onto the highway at WOT three times tomorrow. Should I change the oil now or after I do it?
