Yesterday I took advantage of the nice weather to get up on the roof. 28-foot ladder FTW. First I used the trusty HF angle grinder to hack off an old rusty antenna rotator setup from the chimney that probably hadn't been used since the 80s, then I cleaned out all the junk from the gutters, and finally I got to the business of hanging the icicle lights on the front. I still have to get the red and green floodlights set up and string some lights in the shrubbery and on the stoop, but at least the icicle lights are done.
Last year the little kids in my neighborhood all said how nice the house looked, which is great since it's really all about the kids. If they like my house decorations it will be easier to lure them into my van with candy during the other eleven months of the year.
