Default How much should I offer for 97 m-edition parts car?

The lady that owns it has fallen on really hard times. I really don't want to rip her off, but I also want a decent deal. The car only has around 60K on it but the body is dented all around and the engine is siezed up. (Her "friend" ran it without oil, !?) The driver seat is ripped. I really want a rear end swap and I can sell the rest of the parts here, as I dismantle it. That will take some time, though. What should I pay her?

recap bbs wheels, 300-400$, if the motor is saveable somewhere, 200$, varius interior peices 50-100$ coils 40-50$, ecu 30-40$, tranny 100-150$. looks like 800$ is easily recoupable given some parts being in good shape.

^It's really only worth what your conscience will handle. If you're just in it for the Torsen, pay her the standard going rate for one or maybe a little more (call it $1000)... then part the car. Make just enough more to go MS (after you've sold off your current fuel/spark setup) and then donate the rest to your favorite animal charity. Let's all have a hug now.

You'd be surprised how easy it is to make $1000 on miscellaneous interior/engine parts (torsen aside). If you're willing to have a piece of **** parked in your driveway while you part it out.

That is one point that has been heavily negotiated already. It has to stay until the new title comes, another bummer.

I think I might buy it for like $500 and give her a commision on everything above that. After all, the reason part of the body is smashed up is because her husband tried to kill her by running her off the road. She's really sweet but she is basically a toothless basket case, and this all happened like five years ago.

I am a sap by choice and because I am a little bit of a sucker. But don't get me started on animal charities and don't ever try to hug me. Or my wife.
