Last week my buddy decided to stand up and switch seats in the boat (@40kts) exactly as I called "WAKE"... he lost balance and put his fist through the 14yr old instrument panel.

I spent all day yesterday and today piecing it back together. Last night before I went to bed, I watched all the Pinks and Pass-Time I'd DVR'd for the week... then some COD4.

I can't watch Soccer. It's just one dude after another taking an obvious dive and then looking at the ref to do something. Every few hours somebody scores. I don't get it.

And if this is an "Official" Soccer thread, a MOD should change the title to make it a little more obvious. I would not have come in here if I knew what it was really about. And since I'm feeling especially moody, Formula1 is the motorsports version of soccer.

BTW guys, before I forget. Tomorrow night there's a program on Speed TV (something like "the 101 cars one should drive") which looks to me like is going to be worth tivoing. Just a FYI.

Soccer is boring... major, super, pointless boring...
.
.
...but the effects are kind of fun! Our secretery, who is originally from Greece, was so pissed when Sweden knocked out her team so that she cancelled the catering for our meeting the day after (no lunch! WTF?!). Our Italian and German development departments are already at war.

I must say I saw this kind of reaction coming, after all, we all drive miatas, didn't expect most of you to be manly enough for Soccer haha

I love soccer, I played my whole life, since I can remember, I love watching it, I have nothing but love for it. When big tournaments like the Euro Cup and especially the World Cup come around, which is once every four years, I get excited...really excited.

Rafa-
YEAH!!!!!!!!

When the penalty kicks came I told my wife that I'm too old for this ****!

Thanks DAN.
I hear ya, it was pretty intense, Italy almost made a comeback haha.

Torkel-Soccer is boring
I can understand this coming from a Swedish guy, hell, your best player is not even swedish, he is from former Yugoslavia, lol.

Joe Perez-Happy to be of service.
Thank you Joe.

mrtonyg-One cheering for Spain here!!
They are doing pretty good, but I have to cheer for Russia, they stomped Netherlands pratty damn bad in OT, they deserve to win more than anyone.

mkulak-Go Turkey...
Mark, whaaaat? No way, i do not like Turkey one bit after they eliminated Croatia, haha.

Yeah, I have to give you that one. That is pretty funny that our best player is named “Ibrahimovic”. I do not think you can get much further from a traditional Swedish name then that…

I like soccer because it provides the rest of the world a passage into the heart of gay culture. You get to see a field full of homosexual men challenging for supremacy. It shows that one day, the gays will integrate into American culture successfully.

I have an old high school friend from sweeden, he calls me Ibrahimovic every time we run into each other (frequently), he happens to like soccer though.
