doubt it. I think it's just a wee too long
besides, there's like a metric billion really awesome exhausts out for your car, many of which are really affordable and even more so used

This probably isn't a productive line of thought for me right now. Miata needs love first.

Nice. I swear I had to cross off 90% of the C63's I found while looking because they didn't have the nice headlights. They are badass though.

What color interior? Leather? Looks like mine!

Pretty much same here. It wasn't an option. I was willing to compromise. Just drove around to see them in action, so cool.

Tan leather interior. Once I saw one in person I really didn't want black.

Car is definitely a bit slower than the wrx, buts it's not a slouch. But I was missing the turbo kicking in a few times passing hoes on the highway home.

Do you have the auto high beams turned on? That part is pretty sweet too.

Yeah I only wanted black leather until I saw the white leather in person. It's similar to the tan you have, just a bit lighter.

Best pic I have showing interior, I should take some actual interior pics one day.

Yay! Parts are arriving. SPL rear lower control arms and Winmax W5 pads showed up. Still waiting on the Motul fluid and Jackson Racing oil cooler.

Also still need to decide what oil I want to use. Millers is amazing, but at $22/liter and 3k change intervals (for E85) that's a bit more than I want to spend.

0w-20 is stock, but most track guys are running 5w-30 or 0w-30 or similar to help with oil pressure.

If it's a street car only, I'd run a 0-20. If you do track it, then yeah a higher weight oil would likely be beneficial while at the track.

Oil pressure and oil volume are two different things. If you run a thicker oil, the pressure will go up, but the volume will go down. Lower volume will raise bearing temps as of course the bearings are all oil cooled.

On a track, the 0-20 would get really thin and pressure would drop, where as the 30W oil wouldn't get as thin comparably speaking. Depending on temp, the 30W oil might be performing as the 20W did on the street since it's hotter, its viscosity drops.

No way I'd spend 22/liter for oil for a dd. My C63 oil is 9 dollars/qt, which is IMO absurd, but that's what it calls for so I run it.

Curious, what kind of oil pressure does your car have at 3K, and towards redline? I've heard the EJ257's have really high oil pressure (above average) compared to most engines on the road.

I haven't had my BRZ on track yet, just reading the info from other guys and seeing their data logs.

From what I can see, even with an oil cooler and quality oil, guys may only be seeing 45-50psi at 7000rpms. Essentially you have to use an oil cooler with these cars, guys not doing so are going into limp mode because stock you see 290+ temps on the oil.

But yes, this is my DD and also what I'll use for the occasional track day as well.

Damn, that's surprising. I'm sure that's one of the ways subaru upped the efficiency of their new motors was by getting the oil pressure less-excessive than before.

I'd say given what you said, for sure get the oil cooler setup and I would agree on running 30W for the track days. For all the other miles, I'd stick with 0-20, that's what the motor was designed to run on.

Yeah, definitely. Waiting on it to show up. They even have in the manual for "hard usage" to use thicker oil.

In the Spec GT-86 cars overseas (same stock engines) they use 10w-60!
