Default Blackhills of South Dakota ?

Our vacation, Leaving tomorrow at 2 p.m. from West Palm Beach, arriving at 1030 p.m into Rapid City. Rented a Miata nc (wow) heading to Deadwood, Custer, Mt. Rushmore, Hot springs. Can anyone local give us tips on interesting places to stop? Any good places to eat ?(we are veggies) We plan on the museums and parks but what I would like to find is the less known attractions. We are into old digs, old mines, that kind of stuff. Would also like to see rocky raccoons hotel at the show down. (It*** is a Beatles song from our generation) I will gladly return the same information to anyone who wants to visit south Florida.

Very cool area, we're driving out there a week from today. I visited in 2004 but my wife has never seen the area so I wanted to take her there. You should hit devil's tower since its only about 20 miles into Wyoming and well worth seeing. Also I highly recommend seeing the crazy horse monument, especially the evening light show.
There is a minuteman silo in the area that you can tour. Also don't forget the badlands and Wall Drug (free ice water! lol).

Ah another South Florida person. West Palm Beach here, near downtown.

Nothing to add about Montana :-D
