Default enlighten me

Saw this in a listing on craigslist:

"There is also a dent that was half fixed on the right rear quarter panel caused by bad weather."

Uhhh...WHAT? I have heard of hail making damage but I don't know how you'd half fix A hail dent(ding). Maybe he means a tree fell on the car during a storm.

maybe he lost control in the rain and hit a mailbox.... and he's claiming that it was the weather's fault, not his.

could be because he also blamed all the dings, dents, and scrapes on careless people at his school.

The exterior of the car does have bumps and scratches due the lack of people paying attention in the parking lot of my school.

if anyone is interested here is a link: http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/m...493523345.html

Maybe you can convince him to sell it for like a grand just so he can tell people

I ended up selling it for only $1000 due to the buyer being a JOO and only showing up with that much.

"The engine is capable of running though the crankshaft broke at the tip where the pullies are that causes the battery to not charge and for the car not to start."

Can't blame that on the kids at school.:gay:

How can it be capable of running if the timing belt isn't connected to anything?

Excellent example of why we have public transportation.

i'm not familiar with the short nose crank problem really, other than that it exists. does it break the crank nose far enough back that the timing gear comes loose? or just the crank pulley?

I've seen them shear off mostly in front of the timing gear. But the keyway shears out and the timing gear spins on the crankshaft. Some break further back, but rarely.
