Default Twincharging? Nah- too conservative...

How about compound quad-charging?

Start with a twin-turbo Nissan GT-R. Add a pair of Rotrex superchargers inline with the factory turbos. Tune for 640 WHP. Profit.

Do want. I remember a while back, someone on this board asked when we were just going to start twin-charging everything. I'm still waiting on that one.

Would this be more efficient than having the turbos make XX more psi to get to 640 WHP?

Tim, I expect you to do this on your car with one of your hotside setups and a single rotrex. Okay?

Thank goodness they added superchargers, at least it'll have some low-end torque.

I googled an aparently Precision turbo is making this stuff now, but not putting it on their website. You can see the logo on some of the other pics in the blog.

Dear god...as if that car wasn't a pain in the *** enough. Ours made like 530 stock motor/turbos on a Dyno Dynamics...and they spool faster than hell. No need for all that.

I can just see the logic here:

"We want the quick spool for the low end, but more up top."

It's amazing how people are stuck in the early 60s with regard to thoughts on what a desirable powerband is. I have yet to use anything much below 3K in any form of racing. That engine could spool a pair of GT30s with a moderate AR turbine housing pretty easaly and make gobs more power with good response. Do we really need to be able to hit full boost in 1st gear while parking in the snow?

Having said that, its still kinda cool. What a beast that thing must be to drive. I wish they were lighter though. But 3800 is pretty much par for the course anymore.

I have been sort of putting together a list in my head of what it should take to put a M62 from a GXP (they run like 200 bucks on CL) on there. The trick might be to take the upper intake off and find a way to mate the blower discharge to the stock lower intake to save some cash. Then run whatever turbo setup you already have. Idle issues might suck.

You then have the ability to spool a GT3071 like a 2554 though

....or just put in a V8.
